Do you feel as though you have been in a “funk” for quite some time? Do you put on a happy face when you are around friends and family? Have you been “feeling off your game” for longer than usual? Do you want to open up to family about these thoughts and feelings but don’t know how? It could be that you are depressed. There is no shame in that. Start by saying to a friend or family member, “I don’t feel like myself lately. I feel off my game. I have been feeling down and I don’t know how to fix it. Can you help me?” Once you have told someone, try doing some activities together, walking, movies, visiting, going to lunch or coffee are some great ways to help you get back on track. Sometimes talking to another person relieves the burden and helps to get it off your chest. If things don’t get better please consider seeing your doctor.
