For five long months I created fundraisers to raise money for the Carmichael Chamber of Commerce and www.QuiltsofHonor.org. Yes, I wanted to become the next Honorary Mayor of Carmichael, but I also wanted to give this organization a $1,000 check. I am very happy to say that I raised $12,321 and just mailed Quilts of Honor a check for $1,231. The quilters at Quilts of Honor make homemade quilts for American Combat Veterans as a token of thanks, solace an remembrances to those who serve in harm’s way to protect and defend our lives an freedoms. Thank you to EVERY veteran and their families. Thank you for serving and protecting this GREAT nation. xoxoxoxo to each and every one of you.
P.S. Here is a picture of the next Honorary Mayor of Carmichael in 2016, Julie Woodworker Hubbs.
