Have you taken the time to research your passions? Do you know what activities add to your life and make you happy? It took me a long time to figure out how I get my happiness. I had to learn how to push aside my unrealistic expectations and replace them with realistic, attainable and fun expectations. I have a nurturing heart and I love to be around people. I also love my home. Notice I said home and not house? I love making houses into homes.
I have spent years turning my house into a home, over and over again. I enjoy the hunt for fun things. I love hunting in consignment stores, on Craigslist and in garage sales for that one thing that is just a bit different. Many items in my house comes to me through these channels. It is fun. It is my passion. It is not work. I like to share my finds with friends.

Where ever I live it is important for the place to feel like home. One way I make that happen is to have friends in often. I have hosted sit down dinners, buffet dinners, tea parties, sports watching parties, BBQ’s, potlucks, dessert parties, pizza parties, Miami Vice party and most recently a backyard Kentucky Derby party. According TobyMac “There are seven days in a week and someday isn’t one of them.” The trick to meeting your passion is to quit worrying about being perfect. Think about the possibilities. Don’t limit yourself. Devise a plan and make it happen.
