Clothing Criteria: 1. Keep only what fits now or in the very near future. 2. Keep clothes that make you feel great when you wear them. Empty out your closet and have three bins or boxes available to put things in. First bin is for clothing you will fit into soon (working towards wearing a size 12). Second bin is for clothing you can wear now (currently you wear a size 14). Third bin if for items you will give away (clothing too big, too small or clothing that does not make you feel great). Organizing: 1. Using the same colored hangers helps to keep the eye flowing through your wardrobe. 2. Hang clothing in the same direction with like colors (reds, blues, blacks, whites etc.) 3. Do not use your closet as a storage unit. If your closet seems like a giant task to take on consider asking a friend to help or supervise. Breaking the closet cleaning time down to 10-15 minutes segments is an excellent way of reducing closet cleaning stress. Set the timer and have an actual starting and stopping time. When the timer goes off, stop, take a deep breath and relax. D’Cluttering is worth the effort. Good luck and happy sorting.
